We didn't study security. We broke things until we understood it.

Neon Cyber was founded by two self-taught builders with the goal to build one category-defining platform — in the browser session nobody's watching.

Cody Pierce and Mark St. John didn't take the traditional route into cybersecurity. No computer science degrees. No corporate fast-track programs. They learned by doing — tinkering, experimenting, breaking systems apart to understand how they worked, and putting them back together with a clearer picture of where the real vulnerabilities lived.

We developed an instinct for how attacks actually unfold and how to protect organizations from the inside out

AlphaWave

We channeled decades of experience into AlphaWave — a company that pioneered External Attack Surface Management and was acquired not once, but twice. But they weren't done. Because as they tracked new (and old) attacks, they kept seeing the same blind spot — the one every enterprise security stack leaves wide open. The browser. Not the network. Not the endpoint

02

The weak spot

But the place where your employees spend most of their working day — interacting with SaaS tools, entering credentials, uploading files, and now, prompting AI — with almost no real-time protection governing any of it. The place where phishing attacks complete, where sensitive data leaks, where shadow AI risk lives, and where the human element of security is most exposed.

03

Neon cyber was born

They'd seen this gap from the offensive and defensive sides. They understood exactly why existing tools couldn't close it. So they built Neon to close it themselves — a platform designed from the ground up to operate where the risk actually happens: inside the browser session, at the moment of action.

Our Philosophy

Security that works by waiting for people to make mistakes isn't security. It's a liability. And security that expects people to know better is hope without a strategy.

We built Neon on a different belief: that protection should travel with the user, operate at the point of risk, and guide behavior in real time — without friction, without rip-and-replace, and without asking your employees to become security experts. That's not their job. Keeping them safe while they do their job is ours.

Our Vision

The browser is the new control point. It's where work happens — and increasingly, where AI is reshaping how work happens. The security stack that was built for servers, networks, and endpoints wasn't built for this reality.Neon is.We're not retrofitting legacy tools for an AI-era threat landscape. We're building a platform to define what browser-native, workforce-first security looks like — for the way organizations actually operate today, and for the threats that are already taking shape to launch tomorrow.
